A Few Firsts For Me.

Finally after owning my new to me boat for two months I was able to take it out on its maiden voyage with me for some fun and fishing. This would be the first time also that I have ever fished Lake Norman. I decided on Norman because of the reports lately that the fishing was on fire. They did not lie. While I only caught a few fish it was definately another first for me because I actually landed some spotted bass. Man these things fight like they are twice the weight that they actually are. I was using a weightless super fluke in albino color and they all hit it on the initial drop and when I say they hit, the absolutely crushed it. I had an awesome day out with the family as well. I probably only fished for an hour but it was awesome. They are right when they say that if you cant catch a fish at Norman now that you need to sell your gear.

Here is the photo of the largest one I would say 1.5- 2 pounds. Not a monster but he fought like one.
