I'm getting ton of back lashes when fishing my crig on my revo sx and veritas. I never back lash with any other style of rigging but I just started c rigging and I'm plauged with back lashes. Like the weight doesn't stay with the swivel the line does some crazy stuff when I cast. Some times it stays togeher and its fine but its like 50% for every 2 good casts I make 2 bad ones. On the plus side I got something to do well letting it sink.

i had this same problem when i was learning to throw a popping cork saltwater rig. the key is to cast as if youre throwing the sinker... NOT the bait. its a very slight difference but it keeps the leader/sinker from helicoptering which is probably what is causing youre backlash problems. also.... a c-rig should also be thrown more with an overhand/overhead type of cast instead of a side arm cast. im not sure if you are doing that but if youare... that might also be the issue as that GREATLY increases the odds of helicoptering.

Yeah I think you nailed it on the head cuz the times it doesn't is when I take time and like stare at the sinker and cast. Usually I look at the bait befor casting and kinda focus where I want that to land not a sinker 2ft above the bait. And I do side arm most casts ill have to start over handing the crig

yeah. like i said i had the some problem with a similar rig. really though for the most part when youre using a c-rig youre in open (ish) water and an overhand cast isnt an issue. i actually use a two hand "surfrod" type cast and can get some really good distance with my 7'6" crucial and a 3/4 lead.
