Fayetteville Nc Area Question

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I am going to be visiting my 13 year old son in the Fayetteville NC area next weekend and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place I could take him fishing?

Either a place that rents small boats or a good place to shore fish.

Thanks for any help!

Bill

Hey Bill! Welcome to North Carolina fishing. In the Fayettevill area you have the Cape Fear River flowing right near. Cape Fear River Boat Cruises (910) 391-1246 leases boats. Not too far away is the Lake Waccamaw down NC17. Lake Waccamaw has one of the greatest geological mysteries of the eastern United States - the phenomenon of Carolina bays. Limestone bluffs along the north shore neutralize Lake Waccamaw’s water, making the lake different from any other Carolina bay. The State park may rent rowboats or canoes. (910)646-4748.

Good luck on your trip. Now is the perfect time for Largemouth Bass on top water plugs or spinner bait.
