Bank Fishing The Occoquan

Featured Replies

I caught this guy on a cheap ultralight with a Wal-Mart spinnerbait, from the bank of the Occoquan River, last night just after dark. He was the second and last fish I landed in about forty minutes of fishing. (About fifteen minutes earlier I caught a ~12" shad on the same rig.) I didn't have any means to weigh him, and he's not very big by the standards of this board, but I think he was a PB for me. I'm pretty new to this game, and I don't catch too many fish.

Sorry for the bad pic. I was trying to explain to my seven year-old how to operate my phone cam with one hand, while holding the fish with the other. I was just happy that he got a pic with both me and the fish in it.

And by the way, this is not my first post here. First since last year, probably, but not first ever. I guess the board must've gone through some kind of upgrade or something?
