Presque Bay Fishing

Featured Replies

Heading to Lake Erie next weekend and wanted to see if anyone was having any luck fishing in Presque Bay. The weather has been pretty nasty and was wondering what the fish were doing. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

i was going to go up there with a fellow board member tomorrow, he is a amateur tournament fisher so he knows what he is talking about. He said tomorrow is the day to be there out of the year. they will be spawning all through out the sandy flats. Him and i were very disapointed i couldnt go, i got like 3 or 4 finals to work on for school  ..... have fun

Did your friend have any luck? How about anyone else? Just trying to get an idea of what the bite may be. It looks like the weather is going to be a bit iffy. Thanks in advance.

I fished the Bay Sunday. Smallie bite was a little slow for me , they are not up shallow in full force yet. I caught 15 smallies and and atleast 20 large mouths. By now I'm usually getting 50 plus smallies. With 2 guys in the boat 100+ days. This weather has the fish behind schedule a week or two.

This week coming up really isn't going to push them up quick either. I had a good top water bite for large mouth in the morning over weed beds.
