I used this jig (5/16 oz) for the first time today, but didn't like the top skirt that goes over the jig head too much...do you guys keep that on? or snip it off...also i have the ragetail craw going with it and i was wondering if you think that is too big of a trailer for this small jig.

I keep it on. These were the first jigs i caught fish on. just caught a nice potomac river bass yesterday on the black and blue with a paca chunk. I think they made it that way to give it a "finesse" look. For some reason tackle companies do that to their finesse jigs
