How Do I Make A "power Pole" For My Kayak?

Featured Replies

I saw something like this in a book but it didn't really tell how to make it.

Wondering how I would attach it and what would I make the pole out of?

You could buy a stakeout pole (see the link).

Or I've seen guys just cut off a broom handle and stick it through a scupper hole (if you're using a SOT), or attach to an anchor trolly. That would be a much cheaper option. I've have been thinking about getting something like this myself, to quickly be able to "drop anchor". Hope this is what you are looking for.

This holds my 21 ft boat. It should have no problem holding a yak.
