been using a top water lucky craft sammy 100. decided to change out the hooks for number 2 kvd tripple grips. has anyone tried this yet. and what hooks do you like to replace them with ?

Sammy's 85 and up have #4 hooks... If you short shank them you can go up one size but careful it doesn't affect the action.

Should work fine though...

I like the feathered Mustad hook for topwaters. I changed all my Strike King cranks to triple grips over the long, hard winter... Same with Daiwa Peanuts which has a shiza hook.

I change all mine to Owner Stinger ST-41.
