Small Engine Repair

Featured Replies

I've had history of mechanics really taking me to town with prices. I'm having trouble getting my prop to fully engage, and was wondering if anyone knew any "good and decent" small engine repair places where I can get my motor fixed.

I'm not trying to get my chain pulled all over the place as this is my first boat, and first motor. It's not a very big motor. It's more of joke than anything but it gets me from point A to B. It's a 2.7hp but has ran well for the previous owner and me as well until now.

Could use some local help. I would appreciate it.

Thanks All.

Mare of Aquia has been good to me and shouldn't be all that far from you. I've only purchased parts from them however. Most shops will have their labor rates posted. ~$100/hr is not uncommon.

Would help to know the make of the OB.

Anthony at Dumfries Marine has been good to me also, bit more of a ride for you though.
