went out today to a local stream my first time targeting smallmouth with my fly pole. I got 2 on a popper, first time catching SM on top. nothing to big at all. both were about 10-12" but on a 5 wt. rod its fun

Way to go. I love Fly Fishing for Smallies with Topwater. I do some Flyfishing for Trout but much prefer Smallmouth.
