I was thinking about picking up a few 1/4oz Original jigs. For those who fish these, how well does the skirt flair underwater? Any other comments?

I have fished the Pepper Jigs and the skirt was good in the water. Sportsman Warehouse has them ! 8-)

Is the SW still open in New Berlin?

Yes as far as I know it was still open! I have not been out there in awhile. :'(

Come on guys.  I know some of you must have some experience with these jigs.

Rather than starting a new topic, I am going to bump this back to the top.  I am really curious about these baits.  I know some of you have fished or are fishing these jigs.

Any comments, or are these jigs used by ya'll in T's and you don't want to reveal your kicker bait?

These are very good jigs and they go through weeds well. As for kickers  anything goes! But I like the Netbait chunks.

I was able to make it to SW before they closed down, but everything was pretty picked through.  I was able to score some scent for walleye fishing, and some Lindy weights, but that's about it.

They did have a TON of Lake Michigan stuff, but I don't fish the big lake much.  

I feel your pain! I never went to SW before they closed, too bad they where a good store!

I've never used the originals but the pro series football jig is my favorite jig. You can get them with silicone or rubber skirts.
