Momoi Diamond Braid

Featured Replies

Well, after fishing Power Pro all my short life, I needed to spool up and choose Sufix Fuse. That experiment lasted about 3 trips. So I went back to Power Pro, but I really wanted to try one of the newer braids ( I know PP has been around a while). So I picked up 300 yds of Momoi Diamond Braid... $34.99 It is a sweet blue color. While PP has 4 carrier strands, and is quite flat. Momoi's has 16 carriers and is very rounds, a million times smoother than the Power Pro. It casts lovely. One of my favorite things about it is how dry it is. Especially on spinning gear, my braid used to absorb water and spray all over me on the retrieve, but Diamond Braid has very little spraying. I can't say that Diamond Braid will catch me one more fish than Power Pro, but it is a joy to fish, and I highly recommend it.

I use Daiwa Samurai Braided Line, it uses 8 carriers and is soft as silk. $48 300yds 70#.

I cant imagine anything better.

PP is rough as a cobb but has a low price.
