I am a baseball purist. Part of the lure of the game is the history involved. Not sure I liked the new park. Although it is a beautiful complex there is something about the smell of stale beer, urine, and musty concrete.

Shadmaster, the new park is beautiful.

With that said, two observations:

1. I do not like the sun/shade combo during the afternoon and early evening games.

2. The park will not be totally broken in and raised to its zenith until LSU comes back.

Did you hear the one about the Florida fan checking out of the hotel? She did not have cash and while she and her husband were scraping up the money between them an LSU fan came up and said he was broke, too.

The hotel manager told the LSU fan that that was OK and have a nice trip back to Louisiana.

The Florida couple was upset with this turn of events and they asked the manager why he let the LSU fan go and not them.

The hotel manager replied, "because he will be back!!!"
