How and what are the best circumstances for fishing the following;

Carolina rig

Texas rig

G-man rig (no idea what this is)

jig

plastics.

any input would be great help, i'm going fishing this evening, from the shore and the spot i'm gonna try has a litle vegetation.

Check out the fishing articles on this site. You can easily find an article specifically for each that your looking for.  

For fishing from the bank, I like using a T-rigged plastic the most. Also, you will want to try a wacky rigged senko. RW made a great post for catching some bass with a senko. Here it is:

There is a ridiculous amount of good info on this site for pretty much everything you asked. Some of the stuff in the articles make for great reading. Once you figure out what all you liked, just do a search here and you'll probably find a number of different ways to refine that technique or some ideas to fish it slightly different. As M & M said, it's hard to beat a t-rig from the bank. It's hard not to catch fish with a senko, especially if you're a lazy SOB like me ;D
