Both Koppers and Kahara have come out with mini hollow body frogs.... 1 3/4" and 2" bodies, respectively. Is anyone planning on throwing these for smallies? Are they small enough in your opinion? I plan on trying some, because nothing beats topwaters for smallies, and the green fish trash frogs..... What is ya'lls opinion on these?

My questions is what to you throw these small things on? Seems that my reels wouldn't get them out very far.

Spinning gear.... My fishing partner fishes full sized frogs on spinning tackle all the time.... Scares me with how effective he is... Does everything against the book and catches fish.... I fiqure a 7' Medium action rod and 30lb. Spiderwire would do admirably....

I use spinning gear, M 7' rod with 30 lb PP no problems.

Made a thread on mini-frogs just a couple hours ago =p. The river2sea was released recently so its on market now if you wanna try for smallies.
