Monadnock Area, New Hampshire

Featured Replies

looking for good places to fish using a small boat in the Monadnock area. spoffard lake has been crazy with all the jetskiers and tubers. we fished wilson pond today and only caught perch. we would like to catch smallies or northern pike even though the pike will probably be too deep now. what are the best small ponds in this area to fish that dont have alot of pleasure boaters stirring up the waves? thanks in advance. we love this part of new hampshire!!!---tom

??????????? Too deep? You do realize that they make these things called weights, right? Yesterday, I found fish in 30 foot water, but I managed to catch 17 of 'em.

Shane you always catch'em kid. Not sure why your not on the tour. Seriously you should give it a shot.

Hey Tom, I have not been on much lately with a little one at home, but if you drive to Otter Lake I think you should have some good luck there. It's SMB and LMB's, and there is cover everywhere.

really? those are the things you put unnder a bobber when you sunfish, right? 17? wow

no problem Tom. Just make sure you go to the boat launch and not the state park or you will have to pay. You can launch and fish for free if you just stay out of the state park and just park at the boat launch.
