What should I fish and use?

Featured Replies

Me and a buddy had a date set that we were gonna go out to the river tommorow and do some fishin. But I have been watching the weather and it seems that its gonna be rainy all day and the temp will be 10-15 degrees cooler than the days before, like today is was 85 and tommorow it will be low 70's. I cant say much about the water temps cause im not sure about them. What do you guys think I should use and look for?

James River?

Out of Dutch Gap, Osborn Landing, Hopewell, Ancarrows, Route 5 Bridge by the Chick or upper James and Watkins Landing?

Topwaters and spinnerbsits if there is chop on the surface.

Plastics after topwater bite goes away along the wood on the shore.

Watch for rough water and tides.  Do you go into the Barge Pit?  Down to Herring Creek?  Into the Appomattox?

Check out the wind as the James can get rough in places.  ;)
