Decontamination With 160 Degree Water?

Featured Replies

"The state Department of Natural Resources purchased the portable decontamination units with funding provided by the state Legislature to combat invasive species. The units are capable of spraying 160-degree water at high pressure to remove zebra mussels from boat hulls, livewells and other areas that can harbor invasive species."

Is this likely to do any harm to a fiberglass boat or remove the wax?

Some where I read not to wash fiber glass boats at the car wash because the pressure could be harmful. I'd take this with a grain of salt but I would think 160F water and pressure would remove the wax.
