I was at my local BPS annex today and they had D-A-M spinnerbaits in the closeout section. I had never tried one before so I bought a 1/2 oz with nickle and gold dbl willows and a 'shad' skirt for $2.25. It came with a trailer hook and looks to be as nice as the StrikeKing and Harts that I prefer. I'm planning to test it tomorrow morning once the crappie stop biting.

My question is why these are on 'clearance'. Is DAM going out of business? Thier website wouldn't come up for me. The new BPS catalog doesn't have them. Were they over-priced?

If this feels/works as good as it looks, I may be tempted to clean up at that price.
