Memphis Pond Fishing

Featured Replies

Hey guys I know we've got quite a few members on here from the Memphis/Germantown/Collierville area. Figured I'd start a topic on the pond fishing around town. With work I haven't been able to get out of town to fish much so I've been pond hopping lately. Been to the pond behind chick fil a on germantwon pkwy a couple times this week and got some decent 2-3 pounders on a black/blue jig and rage chunk. So lets hear where you guys have been going and how your doing. Any ponds that are just producing great for yall right now?

Also I might try and get out Saturday morning from about 6:30-10 if anyone wants to go. I can't pm yet so shoot me an email if you want ccl113@msstate.edu May try and go sunday morning too depending on my work schedule.

Hey Colton,

Man I used to go pond fishin out in Collierville before I got my boat. I'll let you in on a spot I used to go to that produces some really good sized bass. You will never catch a buch in it but the ones you catch average between 3-7 lbs. There is a road right next to the firestation on houstan levee rd (right next to 385). I think the road is called Shilling Farms rd. Anyways, there is a daycare bout 1/4 mile from the firestation and the pond is right next to it. You also need to check out some golf course ponds. I've pulled as many as 35 in a day at Memphis National.

Hope this helps!

Hey man,

The pond behind chickfila is great place but....I have never pulled a fish out of there haha. But alot of other people have. There's the pond out there at the collierville city hall that is awesome, there is the one by the stables at shelby farms and a pond behind catchem lake that you can put a small boat in that has good fish. Just got back from tunica cutoff though, and for those who have a boat you need to go there now!! The place is on fire.
