i went out this morning on my perfect crystal clear lake. I started off fishing pads by the shore without any luck. I then went a few hundred feet off of shore to about 10 ft. i kept switching up my baits, but nothing.

Where is the best time in the morning? midday? and evening?

I know i have everything i need to step up my fishing, but i just dont know when to use what and where to fish in certain times.

I know this is broad, but anything will do.

Read ALL you can find on structure, structure, structure. Not cover but structure.

Find the structure and then start guessing logically where the bass are taking into account weather, water temp, cover, etc....

I've always had this problem also. Like Mr. Munster said, read, read, read. It's also gonna take alot of trial and error. I've been trying to figure this question out for a long time, so don't feel like you're in that boat by yourself. I'm anxious to see how everyone answers this, but my advice is to read all you can.

 There are some members that have that down better than others. When you find out the answers to these questions, please, let the rest of us know ...

Each lake is differant. As said earlier , find what structure you may have on a particular lake and go from there.
