St Croix Premier To Avid

Finally decided to upgrade my 7'MH premier out of no where, glad I did but I still like my premier, now I just have to get use to the Avid 7'MH since it feels very different. I grew with the Premier as it was my first casting rod, got attuned to it and basically made it an extension of my arm, I could feel better than the consensus suggests with the rod, got accustomed to the balance and heavier weight.

I guess I'll throw some braid on one of my laying around curados and have a frog/heavy cover setup with my old premier B)

So far comparing the two after 2 hours of playing with the Avid:

Avid 4.3oz, better balanced, feels a bit lighter, more sensitive (non strikes)

Premier 4.7oz, felt slightly tip heavy, built like a tank, sensitive enough to notice subtle strikes

Both compared with Curado 201E7 with 15lb line.
