I live in Tampa, and have been fishing Lake Thonotosassa mostly, with the occasional trip to the Hillsborough River or Lake Tarpon. While I like Lake Thonotosassa, I'm looking for more options. I've searched around on here some and found a few places, but I'd like to hear some updated opinions on more places. If you're in this general area, where do you fish and how well are you doing?

I fish in the brandon/valrico area from shore and am getting a 5lber most times i go if not as solid bite. On the other thread they suggested rock pits in Polk County which isnt to far.
