Tackle Advice Needed Tonight.

Featured Replies

I value your guys advice.  Fishing tomorrow at a lake jackson in Georgia.  85 degrees.  Small lake at best and get very crowded.  Anyway my bass tourney starts at 5 am and will have 1 hour to 1 15 in the dark.

What are you guys throwing?  I have seven rods and thinking of having most of them ready for topwater action.  Should I be throwing any cranks or plastics?

I always throw plastics and jigs regardless of the situation so I would!

I'd have a rage shad on one rod, and a cavitron buzzbait if you get to your spot with time before the sun hits the water. After that probably a good ole' senko! Any lily pads? That's what I would do, but I'm obviosuly no expert. And have never fished in georgia. Good lucktomorrow.

Well Dixon, I'm not sure about the vegetation/ structure of the lake. Topwater sounds good though for starting off. Once the topwater bite dies down, I would toss some jigs at some hard structure if there is any. If you can't get any bites, switch to a wacky rigged senko and work it slowly through the shallower water. The senko should fill the livewell for you. It's usually what I fall back on if they won't bite anything else.

Good luck out there! Let us know how you do tomorrow. :D
