Ive noticed that the new Shimano Curado and Citica dont have the normal gold colored line guides. I know that most rods that are made to handle braided line have AluminumOxide coated guides, is this what they are now doing to the reel line guides? I want to buy a Citica, but will it handle the superline?

    Don't believe the last Citica had it either. They have SiC inserts. You'll be fine using braid with those.
