looking for the double wire that comes out of a ewg hook to make it weedless    why you ask   i want a # 3/0 and # 4/0    ewg gap 1/4 oz weighted   weedless hook    cant find any  thought if i could buy the

weedless wire that hooks on the barb of hook.  this is what i want to use with a tube

I was looking for something similar and a friend mentioned to me that  60-100# mono works very well to achieve the same effect your trying to.

make you own.

you can use the wire out of those twist ties that come with garbage bags. just melt the plastic off the twist tie and there you have a nice little wire.

bent it in half, put the bent end on the barb how you want it, and tie the loose ends to the shank of the hook with thread and coat it in superglue.

i used to make weedguards for my flies like this.

Ken, I'll send you some .019 stainless wire to make some weedguards.

The heavy weight mono does work well if you have any.

The garbage bag wires are too soft and will bend everytime you hit a snag or fish and will have to be reshaped.
