New Bps Xbps Extreme Rods

Featured Replies

i was looking at them for a new spinning rod since they are cheaper then the carrot stix or duckett i was wondering if anyone has used them or checked them out yet for the price they have everything i want (im not to concerned about the whole micro guide deal)

I've used both the spinning and casting versions of the older model. They are a nice rod for the money.

The ones on sale for $60 are a great deal. I have a 6'8" MXF spinning rod, I am not sure they even produce that model in the Extreme anymore, but it my favorite weightless plastic (Ika, Senko, Fluke) rod. If your Budget is around $100 I will echo what I stated in your micro-guide post. Look at the Lamiglas Excel, you will not be disappointed!

The rods are great! Never owned one, but I've used one (older model). Just don't get the Extreme baitcasting reels....

I'm a fan of the earlier-model Extemes and have 7 of them (including that 6'8"mxf spinner mentioned earlier which is a nifty rod)...BUT, I got them all at sale or clearance prices between $39 and $69 at which price they were excellent buys at the time. This new model Extreme has been extensively revised - grip, guides, perhaps a different blank so I'm not sure that experience with the earlier rods will translate to the new rod. Since the new Extreme has only been available for a few weeks, it might be a while before you find anyone with any experience with them.

These may be very good rods, and when they eventually go on sale might be good values. However, at their full price of $100 - there is LOTS of quality competition...
