Manns Super Frog

Featured Replies

what do you guys know about em?  I'm lookin hard at em because I can basically get two for the price of one Spro Frog.  Seems like a good deal to me so long as they are quality made.  I know manns has some other good stuff, but ya just gotta ask.

i have 2 of the rain frogs. i have caught fish on them. all of the hollow frogs work imo, its just finding the one you dig the most. for me it's the swamp donkey.

I like the Manns frog but I haven't used it much.  I'm in love with the soft plastic frogs.  Maybe this spring I'll try out the Manns frogs more.

Man frogs are JUNK....Fished one last year. Doesnt cast well. Not very durable. Doesnt fish well. Legs are too short. Hooks are too small. No comparison to the spro frog.

never used one, but i do have the spro frog and i have gotten more hits on that thing then any other frog i have ever used. but i have the hardest time actually hooking into a fish. i've tried waiting longer, jerking harder, jerking softer, jerking slower, and nothing seems to work, i dont know what to do anymore. any suggestions???

I had the same problem with hooking up Bass on the SPRO frog.  It was actually discussed in another thread not too long ago.  I have the black frog, which someone else had and said that the body of his black frog seemed harder compared to the green one he had.  Well, my SPRO frog is black and the body feels really dense.  I don't know if the earlier black frogs were made heavier, but I don't use it anymore due to the frustration of not hooking up with fish.  Though, since everyone seems to love that frog, I may look into a different colored one to see if the body density is any different.

alright, well i have the green and yellow model, and i bought it when they first came out, so i'm guessin my body is just too hard which doesnt surprise me because it does have a pretty hard body. With all of the new swim frogs on the market today, and the success i'm having with them, I don't know if I'll drop another $8 on  a Spro frog if I can get two packs of plastics for the same price...

One thing that might help you guys is a little trick I did with my hollow bodied frogs.  Bend the hooks up on your frog so they stick up a little above the body.  Occassionally you will pick up a leaf or some junk on the hooks, but it helped with my hook up ratio.
