berkley gulp, bass bait, or catfish magnet???

Featured Replies

i've got a bunch of turtleback gulp worms in a variety of colors, along with goby's and smelts, and so far i've caught many more catfish than bass thus far.  i know they work on bass because i've had good days with them, i've caught largemouth and smallies, but i tell ya i can't seem to get away from the cats.  lol.  its the damndest thing...  oh yeah i've always caught a black crappie just the other weekend on a pumkinseed turtleback worm.  its crazy all fish love these things...

10-1, cats over bass,   great cat bait.

If you put gulp in a minnow trap, you'll catch a ton of cool stuff - I put one out in the Potomac while fishing one day and got shad/minnows, small bream, crayfish, a little eel, a goby looking thing, and either a mad tom and/or a baby catfish.

As for using it to catch bass?  Good luck.

i've had good luck catchin' bass with gulp jerk shad in baby bass.  but get plenty of nipping from bluegill too... they pick the split tail off..
