Anybody making any Alabama rigs? Would like to see them.

There was a great video on here by one of the Elite Series angler (I can’t remember his name? He was from Texas) showing you how to make your own but I can’t find it anymore? Anyone have a link?

It was Tom Reddington. He pulled the video from youtube. I suspect he got a letter from a lawyer since he did say "Alabama Rig". The Mann Bait company bought the rights to make the rig. Doesn't really matter too much just search the internet as there many ways people are making a variation of this rig. Tom showed using surveyors flag wire, worm weight and some crimps plus some swivels. Its not too hard to do. Just think about it an then go out an see if you can find the supplies and tools to make one. Or just wait as there will be china knockooffs coming out soon at your local big box stores.

there is another topic about this, they are easy to make and cost a few bucks at most. i'll post a pic later tonight of the few i've made. get the survey flags at any home depot, lowes, etc. and the ferrules that crimp steel cables together. you can get the snap swivels anywhere, i used a size 5 on the one i made. figured it up all together i spent about $1-2 a rig

Able....the ONLY reason I opened this thread is because I just knew you would reply. Your pics always deliver, man. From the live bass webcam shots to the cig hanging out of your mouth while holding up the baits you just made. Haha.

_{A couple of my recent creations using a stainless steel whisk as a wire source and some epoxy putty to cover the aluminum ferrule that holds the wires together. Painted with some paint pencils. Crude but effective since the attachements are what makes it work.}
