Booyah Boogie Bait

Featured Replies

Has anyone used these by booyah they seem to be like the chatterbait. Just wanted to know If anyone has used these an been successful.

i bought one about a month ago ,cortez shad i think it was called .i used it early in the morning  before sunrise on a high pressured  pretty clear forest preserve pond by my house. one time out i caught a couple dinks on it the second time out nothing, before it fell apart while reeling it in.for me this is a pretty heavy lure  by the time you add the tail ,i wasn't impressed with the quality of it  and told them so in an e mail  they responded and said send us back whats left of the lure( all i had left was the blade) and they sent me one to replace the one that fell apart and one for the shipping .so they at least stand behind their lures.

Two weak points on the bait.  The clip on the head and the leverage hook.

The original chatterbait is 10x better, I used them in Tenn. streams and the booyah wouldn't run strait and it had to be moving to fast to get the blade to vibrate. And by the way chatterbaits kill in streams in Tenn. FYI

I thought the Booyah is built better and has better components than the Chatterbait, although I couldn't see a difference between them in their ability to draw strikes. I gave up fishing the Booyah because of problems with the leverage flexible hook. Maybe I was the problem, it doesn't matter, I lost confidence in the flexible hooks after losing about a dozen bass in one weekend.

That isn't really saying a great deal since the original Chatterbaits feature components worthy of a $0.50 bait.  The hook is horrible, the blade is comparable to the tin roof on my shop and the skirts are so-so.

If you're interested in fishing a bladed swim jig, take a look at the Strike King Pure Poison.

I  have a couple of the Booyah Boogies left in my box.  Prior to use I glued the clip shut with super glue.  I've not caught much with them though I don't throw them often.  Mine seem to run straight but I have to agree that the Strike King Pure Poison is put together a little better.
