Firetails II

Featured Replies

Didnt want to hijack the other firetails thread...but want to pose a question. Ive started fishing last year after many years off and wonder what your opinions are on firetails in general.

4" Slider worms with the Slider heads were big when I used to fish and I used the motor oil/orange firetail alot. I did well with them.

They dont seem to be used much or on the shelves much these days...anyone use them ?

I'd like to pubically thank you for not highjackin' the other firetail thread. Its appreciated, and you've got my respect. Thank you. Now, back to your question :)

MotorOil / Orange is another color that works well on overcast days in clear water over rocky bottoms. Mister Twister seems to have phased this one out. Bummer.

culprit pumpkinseed firetails never fail....  they will produce when nothing else will.

No problem BassJunkie. Im generally a *****. ;-)

I used to fish them with confidence but this time around never do and wondered if anyone was still fishing the little buggers. Caught some nice ones on the firetail Sliders....seems the Senko's and others made them obsolete.

Actually, the other thread would've been the perfect place for your post.  this is just duplication.
