Flouro With The Least Stretch?

Featured Replies

Wanting to put 20lb flouro on one of my jig/plastics rods. I use braid a lot of the time, but sometimes the day calls for some flouro. I have used 15lb flouro before and the only problem was the stretch of the line (seaguar). Also just feel more comfortable with a heavier line with some of the questionable places I throw into. Which flouro has the least amount of stretch at the 20lb level?

Abrazx or Toray Premium Plus.

I haven't tried the Premium Plus, but I used Toray Superhard Upgrade in 16# on my jig setup all season and it seems to have pretty low stretch. It performed very well for me when throwing jigs. Probably can't go wrong with either one.

vicious pro elite, i use it for punching at times n never had an issue with the stretch. some stretch is good though if your using a heavy rod and a knockout hookset.

Buddy i'm dealing with the same thing, once you get used to the sensitivity and stretch (or lack thereof) of braid it is tough to pull a jig through the weeds with the stretch of flouro/mono!

Maxima makes a fluoro that isn't too bad for pitching at 20#.

I don't know if this helps...but before I switch to flouro I will try a heavier jig, the idea is to get a reaction bite where the fish doesn't care about the line. I fish mainly grass. Sometimes this makes a huge difference for me.
