Which Fish Scent Works The Best?

Featured Replies

I use Megastrike on soft baits, and YUM Crawfish spray on jigs.

I don't know if the scent makes a big difference, but I guess its a confidence thing for me at this point. I have often used soft baits without applying megastrike (out of lazyness) and have caught plenty. Although I pretty much always use the Yum spray on my jigs, I don't know maybe I just like spraying that stuff... ;D

I've just been using the Yum garlic scent, haven't tryed any others though. How does everyone feel about the yum scents?

I also use the Yum garlic scent. Perfect for those days that they just won't take it all the way.

Alot of it depends on your style of fishing. As a fast fisherman, Scent doesn't do me much good but as you slow down scent does become a bigger factor. If you think about pattern fishing and putting together a puzzle scent would be a small piece of the puzzle, with structure and bait being large pieces.

but with that said, if you know where the fish is and what lure will get the fish to react then you are in the right ball park. Now what happens when things slow down like they always do during the mid day. Well you should grab that bottle of scent and see if that changes you luck before leaving the area or changing lures.

Megastrike is great stuff. I use it often, but when I really need the bites I go with JJ's Magic. I'll let my videos do the talking.

Dude, those videos are crazy!

I can't believe that nobody has said anything about Kick'n Bass.  It is great and all you have to do is put a few drops in a ziploc with some worms and marinate them a bit.

I also like garlic Spike-It.  I'm not crazy about the dye aspect of it but when I have one of those days where the fish are hitting quick and dropping the bait, a little Spike-it always makes them hold on long enough to get a good hook set.
