Did you guys see where the highly ranked QB name Gunner Kiehl committed to LSU around the same time as BCS title game then decommitted at last minute and is now currently enroll into Notre Dame? I think he took one look at Alabama's defense and said screw that! I couldn't resist. :)

Funny, Root Beer.

Gunner's mother wanted him to stay at home, along with his dad.

So he is going to Notre Dame and us LSU fans are not upset about it.

We have two very good quarterbacks and a third one that has lots of potential.

This opens the door for LSU to go after the Mississippi quarterback which makes more sense then getting a kid from Indiana who really needs to play in his geographical area.

It will be interesting to watch Gunner's career at Notre Dame with Screamng Little Kelly yelling at him during the games.

LSU will probably be ranked 1 or 2 next season and I am sure we will do much better without George Jefferson.

If nothing else from loss to Bamasux, George Jefferson is gone. Thank you God!!!!

Smart move, also if he graduates he'll have a Norte Dame dimploma and not an LSU one, a HUGE plus! Smart man indeed.

Really? Where did ya'll hide 'em that last game?? :eyebrows:

I figured LSU will start next season like Auburn did: Win the Championship, and come back not even ranked in the top 20 next season. But then, I really don't understand the BCS way of life. A lifelong 'Bama fan, and I don't think they should have had a chance at a rematch. Shoulda' been #3.........

Easy to dismiss him now for LSU fans, but if he's the next Andrew Luck and your next options are mediocre you'll always wonder what could have been. I'm sure he'll be hearing plenty of mom jokes regardless.

NorcalBassin, we are still wondering what LSU would have done if Ryan Perrilleaux had not been kicked off the team.

Ryan was an excellent passer and very good runner.

When Ryan left we got George Jefferson.

And as for a Notre Dame diploma vs an LSU diploma, I do recruiting for LSU and we have feed back that when an LSU rad interviews for jobs they are asked about the food, fishing, hunting, Mardi Gras, New Orleans and football. Makes for a smooth entry into the interview.

I guess when Notre Dame grads interview they talk about the Pope and snow.

Just saying..........
