Pinnacle Producer Xt Or Abu Garcia Orra S Spinning Reels

Featured Replies

I've been looking for a good lighter spinning reel to replace one of my older ones for quite a while now. I've narrowed my search to the Pinnacle Producer XT or the Abu Garcia Orra S. I'm going to be putting 8lb mono on it and will be fishing mainly shakeyheads, small jigs, plastics, and some spinnerbaits. I'm just curious to see if any of you guys have had any of these reels, and could give me a review or even tell me which one you think would be better for what I will be fishing with it.

Thanks,

so it's been said a few times on this board that pflueger president is the best bang for the buck. I have 4 old style (wooden handle) president models that I love. I picked up one of the new one this week and it's is noticable lighter, haven't fished with it yet but I can't see having problems with it. In fact I plan to down size my old 40 size model to the new 35 size since it's line capacity are now just about equal and the 35 weight is about 3 ounces less. For 59.99 it should be worth considering.
