A few weeks back, I was at my cousin's house and we were fishing at his pond. The pond was made up off water run off with some "chemicals" in it. There are bass and a relatively healthly population of fish.

While looking into the pond to see if i could find any fish, my p. sunglasses fell into the retention pond. I managed to get them out with my rod. I am not sure if i should be wearing them after they had fallen into that pond. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to clean them. I was thinking about just washing them with detergent.

I am afraid it will do something to the glasses. Is it safe to even use them again?

I wear contacts and my chemistry teacher does not allow us to wear them in the lab as chemicals can lodge themselves in your contacts resulting in a lot of pain and eye damage.

I would just soak them in soap and water. You'll be fine.
