Difference Between Roboworms

Featured Replies

Everyone knows the effectiveness of the roboworms as a finesse bait. now between the straight tail vs the fat straight tail is there any difference in action or usage, or is it simply just a slightly bigger profile?

just a different profile. ive tested them both on a shakey head and t rig and the action is pretty much the same. i do find myself using the fats a little more these days tho with a tad bit better success.

yep, just a little bigger, that's all. In this case, I don't think the bass will know the difference.

I think both worms you mentioned are great worms for several presentations. I've used them both on texas rigs, shaky heads and drop shots.

Lately I've been using the 4 1/2" and 6" the Fat Tail Roboworms on a drop shot the last several times out and they seem to catch some quality fish. I switched to a flickshake worm on a wacky in the very same spot and seem to catch the sub 2 lb models.

I can say that the fat worms have a thicker head which holds a twistlock Owner hook better. In addition, by the simple fact of the head being meatier, it won't tear up as easily after a couple of bass have gnawed on them.
