Squirrel Tail

Went out to learn how to use my new baitcaster and tied on a Bite It Squirrel Tail. I was impressed with the action, you could even burn it back and it had a paddle tail action to it. Might have a new go to bait this year.

It has its time and place. I have only used the smaller size and really have only found myself throwing it on a shaky head and drop shot in the dog days of summer...It's really my last resort.

I have a few bags because Gander had them marked down, and tried them toward the end of last year. I caught a few, but maybe wasn't using them effectively, I kept switching back to my comfort bait in the same category the baby brush hog and doing better. Will try and give them a fair shot this year, maybe I will find the niche these fit in.
