I got this rod a couple years ago and have really yet to play with it. I took it out the other day and am wondering what I was thinking for buying it. Anyway. Just wanting to know what you folks are using yours for. It is the 6'3" Heavy power in the reaction series.

I would throw spooks and sammy's on it. It would probably make a good jerkbait rod also.

Jerkbaits, no. Topwaters of all sorts, yes. It makes a very good squarebill rod when you're up tight to cover. SUPER big buzzbait rod when you don't need casting distance. Also it's excellent for fishing spinnerbaits around docks and heavy cover.

CUC63H,my favorite topwater rod. Best for walking the dog and popping.
