If anyone has any info on how to start a wading tournament I could really use your help thanks

The onlt thing I coulf think of would be a total inches tournament, make everyone carry a measuring board (no soft tapes very inaccurate) and photo there top 5 on a board, this way they have proof, you could make them wafe in pairs to make it easier and verifiable if didn't want to do the photo thing

A local trail did this a year or so ago and weighed in at the Bass Pro Shops. I can't find the website but will be sure to keep an eye out.

The basic idea was... Everyone met the night before for the pre-tournament meeting. Everyone received a ruler with the trails logo on it (which changed every tournament). There had to be 2+ pictures taken of each fish (one on the measuring board showing tip to tail) the other showing fish in hand with scenery behind- I think this was to verify you weren't in stocked location or something??They may have even done 3 pics, one showing the weight on the trail given scales, but I can't remember the rules to good.

You could start fishing anytime that day until weigh in and fish anywhere in the state as long as you made it back. Kayaks, float tubes, wading or all allowed. So, 12 midnight-weigh in. At weigh in you had to give over your SD Card or memory stick with your largest catch. I believe this was a 2 fish tournament. And it followed them basic guidelines. I'm sure they could be made better.

Forget all that and just read the website. I went back in my phone calender and found the name of the trail.
