Trailer Grease Seals

Featured Replies

I'm needing to replace the grease seals on my 2001 ez loader triton boat trailer all I can find are 1.68'' id and 2.55 od I measured my old seals and the id is right but the od measures 2.388'' will these work also the wear sleeve that I measured 1.62 id and 1.696'' od the closest thing I can find is 1.70 id and 1.72 od

The 2.388 O.D. should not work at all. It will just fall out of the seal counter bore. Take the old seal to a bearing supply house and have them provide you with proper sized seals.

no the old one 2.388 the new one is 2.55

Sorry about that must have been a senior moment. No it wor't work way too much press fit interference. I worked for a seal company for over 30 years and I repeat go to a bearing supply house with your old seal and have them reccomend a replacement.
