Featured Replies

i was at my bps and was looking at a new spinning rod and they had both the element 21 wild black carrot stix and the st croix rage rod both roughly the same price and both have the micro guides but other then that they cant be any more different so my question is does anyone own either one or have used either one espically the rage rod cause they boast about the new grip making the rod extremely senseitive but any advice would be great

Both are nice rods. But I think the Black carrot Stix is very lite. Of the two I would take the Black!!!!

Look at the stripper guides. If it's to small for me to get my thumb in it I'd pass on it.

I love micros but I think the stripper guides need to be at least a size 20 IMHO. I think the Carrot uses a size 16? I am not sure about the size on the rage but look down it to see that the guides are straight.

I have a Rage casting rod and it's one of my favorite.
