Spinner Baits

Featured Replies

I just started really fishing them for the first time yesterdy and today since i've been reading fall is the time for them, I had decent success, I caught two yesterday that were decent and i caught two today, one which was my new personal best at about 4 pounds and another decent one that was about 2 pounds. I lost another big one right at the boat but thats alright, but it led me to a couple questions.

One is what are some ideal spinner bait colors for fishing in clear-semi clear water? I was using a white spinnerbait with tandem willow blades, yesterday the top was gold bottom silver but today i changed it up to silver/silver. What colors should i be using for my blades also? Is a certain color for better for when its cloudy outside vs sunny? What about the types of blades i should be using?

I fish extremely clear water, and I use a white, or translucent skirt with double silver willowleaf blades.
