Good Video Or Dvd?

Featured Replies

Forgive me if this has been asked a lot before, i did use the search function, but didnt find anything.

I'm wanting to know of any quality videos or dvds out there that teach fishing techniques, tips, tricks etc.

this forum helps a lot, but it would be nice to sit down and watch an informative video, rather than a tv series that is rarely on and is usually just part infomercial part entertainment, no information.

i would like an all inclusive video. showing different rigs/techniques, how to locate bass, what to do on different types of lakes, and different parts of the year etc. all this for large mouth mainly

Bill Dance put out a collection of videos from a wide range of his shows. called "bill dance complete bass fishing course". Its pricy, over 100 i believe. You can probably find it on ebay for cheaper thou. I've watched about half of it and its already worth the 100 bucks, of course thats easy for me to say as im borrowing it from a friend haha.

The videos are very specific, which i like. For example, in one video he clearly stated that in the spring the water on the north end of the lake warms quickest because the south winds warm it and it is shielded from the colder north winds, unlike the south side of the lake. That fact alone will save me hours and gas money spent fishing the south side of the lake in early spring.I don't think I would have ever figured that correlation out. I'm taking notes on the dvd's and get about a page worth of new info per video.Alot of shows i watch on tv now are basically info commercials, bill dances series isn't. 12 dvd's about an hour each. I would recommend them.

Bassmaster has some, tips and tech collection. They send them out about every three months. The basspros are pretty good.Bass pro has alot on there website for sale.In - fisherman has some good ones too.

If your looking for DVD's I have a collection mostly for watching in the winter or when there just arent any fishing shows on. I really like the older In-fisherman videos when Al, Jim, Dan were still there. I also like their newer Angling Edge DVD's as well. Another one I just picked up is Ike's Finesse Fishing DVD. It's very indepth on alot of techniques like drop shot and tubes and such and he goes in and shows you exactly how to tie em and how to rig the bait. Im hoping he comes out with some more DVD's the guy is great for teaching. Those are just some of my favorites. Ill look through youtube as well and find some videos that Ike did for another site that are good and BassResource's are always good to watch as well.
