My fiance recently moved to Columbia from Rochester, NY. I am planning on going down there to visit her for several weeks in May after my semester ends, and I was wondering about any good spots for bank fishing. I know Lake Murray is close, but don't know anything about any other waters, or if Murray has any spots with good public access for bank fishing. I probably can't afford a guide, but if anyone knew anything about boat rentals on Murray or anywhere else close that would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

    Bump. Leaving Rochester for the Columbia area a week from today. Anyone willing to share some bank fishing spots? Don't think I'll have enough money to rent a boat anymore.
