Best Bullet Weights For Brade And Wacky Question

Featured Replies

first time using braid on T-rigged worms, I hear that lead tears braid, will the brass weights do the same, i have a few tungstun weights but am fishing new place and not wanting to snag em all. also my bro loves wacky rigging, but doesnt get very far, could he add a split shot sinker or is there some method to get the bait out further without messing the fall of it,

thank you

On the wacky rig what worm being used? 80'-100' should be attainable with baitcast or spinning reel. with 7' med fast rod 5" senko. Even weightless Rage Thumpers- Anacondas go out pretty far.

not sure think it is a 6'6 daiwa spinning out fit he has, with some sort of senko type, think he usses dingers and the bps stick worm

Not sure if you are fishing from shore or not but you don't need to get a whole lot of distance with wacky worms. Just pitch them to targets. I haven't had problems with any type of weights tearing my line. If your brother needs to get a longer cast because you are fishing from shore, then you can buy wacky jigheads made for wacky rigging. In fact one of our sponsors here, Northstar, makes some nice ones.
