Arizona Fishing regs states the following:

"Anglers may use one line or pole with no more than 2 hooks. An artificial lure is considered one hook."

So that being the case,I want to do a standard dropshot but the weight on the bottom is going to be a "Westy worm" (pre rigged worm with 2 hooks) Based on how I interpret this,I am legal,and would still be legal,even if I were to put a jerkbait on there with 3 hooks,in addition to the dropshot hook up above.

Am I correct in my thinking based on how the regs read?

I think you are legal to fish that rig. As I see it the westy worm is an artificial lure so it's considered one hook reguardless of the actual number of hooks it has.

No I would think the a rig is a harness for 5 lures. Now if you were to put empty hooks on the wire arms then maybe cause then you would be expecting the fish to eat the whole thing. JMHO

An A rig is an umbrella rig with 5 baits on it and should be illegal in every state that I know of. The DNR of most states not making a decision these is ridiculous. Why not just put 200 baits on there? Doesn't seem to make a difference to the law.

I'm not going get into an argument but let me tell you this if you think the a-rig is "too easy" or "unfair" "cheating" try using one and you will see its just another tool with a certain time and place. You still have to find the fish, and under the right conditions.
