Mill Pond In Nashua Challenge

Featured Replies

I use to catch a ton of fish out of this pond and lately nothing even last summer. I would like to get together some of you all for fun to see if we can find any bass left in this pond. If your up for it lets get some boats on this pond and try to find them. This is a Jon boat only pond with trolling motor only. No gas engines are allowed. Let me know if your interested.

I'm game. Anything else in this pond??

Yes. Pickerel, perch

Isnt that were Shane got his 9 lber last week? JUST KDDING !!! But i caught many there last season but mostly small ones. nothing bigger than 17 inch according to my records. i fished there 7 times last year with my canoe. They did use the big weed machine there at the end of the season and took out tons of stuff. I will be there sat morning with my buddy.

Biggest I have ever caught out of Mill pond is 5 pounders. See if anyone can top that. No lies either LOL.

Made it to Mill Pond this morning for about 2 hours. 4 small lmb , 1 big pickerel , 1 green sunfish. all on top water with white knuclehead popper. pic if i can load them. if i cant load them my son will later.

I just came back from there myself. Only one small Lmb in 3 hrs on a yellow spinner bait. Oh well. It was my first of the year.

I had a GREAT day on Mendums pond today with my brother. He got skunked but I caught 2 real nice SMB about 2.5 and 3 LMB one being 3lbs and the others about a pound and a half. All caught on a live target craw.

Count me in on your jon boat trip. Sundays are best. Name the day, I'll be there I almost guarantee there are at least 5's or a 6 or two in there. I've never fished it, but I'd like to take a crack at it.

Shane I only have a 8 foot Jon boat. If you could take yours also that way we won't be cramped. I'll take my boat as well. Sundays only for you right?

Depends on when you guys go on Sunday's. I'm out of work, which is in Nashua, at 3pm. Could meet after work. Let me know.

Oh yeah, I'll bring my own boat. I'm gonna need a little extra space for gear anyway, since I don't know this pond. How big is this place, anyway?

Not very big. Just Google it and look at the topo. Glad to hear that they at least attempted to get some of the milfoil and algae out of there. You could practically walk across it during the summer months.

Is there a place to launch a 12 row boat on a trailer or will I have to carry it in?

There is an excellent launch for anything , your could launch a 25 bassboat pulled by an 18 wheeler or walk right up with your canoe

Cool thanks. If you are into letting new guys fish with you I would love to come meet up with you guy. I just need to get my boat registered in NH.

Launch is good, but a Jon boat is all that is needed here as it is only about 40 acres I believe. It does get fished heavily as a FYI also. I'm just trying to figure out if there is any more 4+ pounders in there. I believe if there in this pond you guys can find them. Be sure to bring a depth finder for this place as there are a lot of drop offs. Very soft bottom though. Mill foil was raked last year as well. I'm thinking if we could do a Friday instead if possible as this place will be loaded on the weekends. Let me know what works for all of you.

I can do a Friday with a few days notice so I can put in for a vacation day.

Sounds good. Let's see if anyone else is in as well.

sundays are best for me, i am 5 minutes away and will bring my jon boat and will probably have an empty seat and would bring my canoe if someone wanted to use it
