Polarized Lens Color

Featured Replies

Is there one color that is better at spotting fish then others?

amber.

I agree with everyone else i say amber

love my mossback green lenses from solarbat!

I prefer amber as well

I'm colorblind in one eye so my fishing glasses are amber in one lens an blue mirror in the other, don't ask how but it allows me to see clearly. My eye doctor did it for me.

All i'm going to say is don't go fishing with out them. You need to constantly scan the water and you will see the bigger fish follow the one thats hooked or the bigger ones will come in close to see what the littler ones are doing during there frenzy. At this time i upsize my lure for the larger ones.

They're also nice to have when a treble hook comes flying back at your face.

Amber lenses work better in indirect light(dusk/dawn) and overcast situations. Blue lenses cut the glare better on bright blue bird days. Atleast that is why Bill Dance said in one of his tv shows, and I also find it to be true. Amber is what i use, and is a good all around lens IMO. Polarization is a must.
